Compensation & Schedule
• $63–$70 per hour
• Full-time, part-time, or PRN opportunities available
• Primary schedule: Weekends, 12:00 PM–10:00 PM
• Occasional weekday availability may be needed
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP) to provide high-quality medical care to clients at an inpatient substance use treatment facility .
This role will work closely with the existing Nurse Practitioners and interdisciplinary clinical team to manage client care, including medical withdrawal management, medication management, medical evaluations, and ongoing treatment needs .
The ideal candidate is clinically confident, collaborative, and comfortable working in a substance use treatment environment. Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment is strongly preferred.
Job Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and the clinical team to manage client care, including medical withdrawal management.
• Conduct medication passes and oversee ongoing medication management.
• Schedule and manage client medications within the eMAR system , ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and medical evaluations.
• Order appropriate laboratory testing and develop treatment plans based on findings.
• Assess clients for medical appropriateness for admission.
• Prescribe medications as clinically indicated, including medications related to withdrawal management.
• Address and respond to client medical concerns in a timely manner.
• Recommend and coordinate outside medical referrals when necessary.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect client confidentiality.
• Participate in the development of medical policies, procedures, and process improvements.
• Foster positive and collaborative relationships with clients and interdisciplinary staff.
Qualifications
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license as an FNP or AGNP.
• 2+ years of experience practicing as an FNP or AGNP.
• Active DEA license .
• Active CDS license , as applicable.
• Current state licensure.
• Current CPR certification .
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary clinical team.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, addiction medicine, or a related setting .
• Experience with medical withdrawal management and medication-assisted treatment is a plus.
